FOR Solutions composting system will help process healthy compost for Organic farm in days instead of months

FOR Solutions, a leading developer of commercial-scale food composting solutions for businesses and institutions, is pleased to announce that Pocono Organics has selected its Model 612 Composting System to enhance its sustainability efforts. FOR Solutions composting systems are designed to recycle uneaten food into nutrient-dense, high-quality compost instead of landfilling or incinerating it.

Pocono Organics is committed to using sustainable agricultural practices to minimize its environmental impact while producing high-quality, organic products. With the addition of the FOR Solutions Model 612 Composting System, Pocono Organics will be able to further reduce its carbon footprint by recycling its uneaten food into a valuable soil amendment.

The FOR Solutions Model 612 Composting System includes an aerobic in-vessel rotary drum digester that epitomizes sustainable materials management by recycling uneaten food into high-quality compost in just five days in a virtually odorless process that requires no supplemental heat or enzymes. FOR Solutions composting systems are optimized for large institutions such as farms, universities, hospitals, and mid-to-large size businesses that currently send large amounts of uneaten food to landfills or incinerators. The FOR Solutions Model 612 Composting System is designed to process 260,000 lbs. of uneaten food annually.

FOR Solutions uses patented biotechnology to design and market state-of-the-art aerobic in-vessel rotary drum composting systems intended to facilitate on-site or local recovery and composting of discarded uneaten food. Diagnosed in her late 20s with gastroparesis, a paralyzed stomach which prevents  people from digesting food easily, Pocono Organics Founder and President Ashley Walsh found herself at a dead-end with traditional medicine that prescribed feeding tubes and medication for her to lead a ‘normal’ life. Those options set Ashley on a discovery path with an organic diet and lifestyle where she found the health benefits, relief, and hope she sought.
